Keith Scott (born 28 October 1953, in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian voice actor, comedian, impressionist and animation historian. He is best known for voicing Bullwinkle and the Narrator from "The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle" and the narrator for the "George of the Jungle" films.

He was originally hired to voice Diesel 10 in Thomas and the Magic Railroad, but US test audiences thought he made the character sound too frightening for the film's target audience so he was replaced by Neil Crone. Despite this, Keith's voice was still included in some of the trailers. He also did the voiceover for adverts for Bluebird Toys in Australia.

Other credits include "The Adventures of Blinky Bill" and "Popeye's Bilgerat Barges".

Trivia

  • While he was in Hollywood doing the voices for The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, casting directors of Thomas and the Magic Railroad Karen Margiotta and Mary Margiotta recommended Scott to voice Diesel 10 to Britt Allcroft, as she was in Hollywood at the time looking for a voice for Diesel 10 and such.
    • When Scott auditioned for the role, with Allcroft mentioning to him how she wanted a 'distinctive villain voice', so Scott tried a couple of voices, before going back to Sydney.
    • Within a week of his return, a flight for him to go to Toronto was arranged for him to voice Diesel 10, which took about "four of five days." He met both Michael Angelis and John Bellis, whom he had lunch with and saw the models with.
    • After that, Scott flew to Los Angeles for a couple of days and by the time he had got home in Sydney, a man named Don Pitts rang from Los Angeles telling him that they wanted to change the Diesel 10 voice.[1]
    • In the unfinished workprint in of the Thomas and the Magic Railroad, Diesel 10 was also voiced by another unknown temporary actor (most likely the editor, Scott himself or somebody else) who speaks in an American accent of the rest.
